Are you a published author or poet, perhaps an aspiring writer working on a story or novel, maybe a poem you’d like to see published?  Interested in learning more about the craft of writing?  Does the idea of submitting a piece of your work into competition appeal to you? Want to spend an entire day listening and being inspired by fellow writers?

For those competitive souls out there (and you know who you are), who would like to submit something into the competition, go to our website (www.pamlicowritersconference.org), click on Competition Details and you’ll see a list of genres to choose from along with submission guidelines.

Our goal is to help writers at various stages in their development learn more about the art of writing. After a day filled with creativity, you’ll be inspired and motivated to begin or finish that piece you’ve been putting off.

About Pamlico Writers Group

This is a publication of the Pamlico Writers Group, created to help promote and advance writers skills along with expanding our groups membership and reach. Our aim on this site is to keep you our readers and participants aware of upcoming events. Topics covered during the year will be news regarding our annual Pamlico Writers Conference and Competition, co-sponsored with Arts of the Pamlico, discussion of and from our conferences, participants and group news. PWG's Steering Committee has finalized details for our 5th Annual Pamlico Writers Conference on March 17 & 18th, 2017 at The Turnage Theatre, 150 W. Main St., Washington, NC. This year's theme is "Words," Image and Story". Our Friday night keynote speaker this year will be Author, Teacher, Speaker, and Director of Lavenson Studios, Zelda Lockhart. Winners are announced and an awards ceremony will be held during our Friday night Kick-Off Event.
