2nd Annual Pamlico Writers Conference & Competition

The Art & Craft of Writing!

Are you planning to attend this year’s conference? Is there a particular workshop(s) that has piqued you’re interest?
With only eight weeks left, you’ll need to register soon in order to make sure you have a seat in your desired workshop, since space is limited.
We’ve brought together talented writers, poets, editors, and publishers for this year’s conference, giving you an opportunity to learn more about the craft, as well as its many aspects. We’re also offering  you a chance to interact with those talents, along with fellow attendees. And hopefully you’ll forge friendships and potential contacts along the way.
Tickets for the Keynote speeches only will also be available on-line as well as at the door.

Pamlico Writers Competition

6 weeks till deadline. . .

 Were you planning to submit something into the writing competition? If so, the deadline is February 23, 2014. With only six weeks remaining, you’ll have to get your piece in shape and get it sent off before the deadline to be eligible. 
Competition is open to Adults 18 years and older. There is also a category for High School students grades 9 – 12.

Registration for the conference is not required to enter this competition.

About Pamlico Writers Group

This is a publication of the Pamlico Writers Group, created to help promote and advance writers skills along with expanding our groups membership and reach. Our aim on this site is to keep you our readers and participants aware of upcoming events. PWG's Steering Committee has finalized details for our 5th Annual Pamlico Writers Conference on March 17 & 18th, 2017 at The Turnage Theatre, 150 W. Main St., Washington, NC. This year's theme is "Words," Image and Story". Our Friday night keynote speaker this year will be Author, Teacher, Speaker, and Director of Lavenson Studios, Zelda Lockhart.   1. Great to hear about this writer’s competition. Writing is a fantastic craft to delve into and it’s nice to see a competition designed to bring out the competitive edge of a writer’s craft and way to show their talents.
