4th annual Pamlico Writers Conference
Saturday, March 19, 2016
Turnage Theatre, Washington, NC
Exploring The Writer’s Voice
Festivities for the conference begin on Friday evening ($10 charge) (March 18, 2016) and are open to the public. We will have light hors d’oeuvres, followed by this years keynote speaker, the award-winning Southern writer, Sharyn McCrumb, best known for her Appalachian “Ballard” novels, set in the North Carolina/Tennessee mountains. Her topic for the evening will be “What Poets Know That Novelists Don’t”.
Pitch To The Publisher (an additional $10) is also back, where writers sign up for a face-to-face opportunity to pitch ((7) seven minutes) their book idea to a publisher. Last year, Pitch To The Publisher was a great success and we expect this year to be even bigger.
The Conference begins at 9:00am (8:30am for late registration) on Saturday, March 19, 2016, as we begin with a discussion from three panelists on Lyrical Voice, Nonfiction Voice, and Fiction Voice. Afterwards we break into individual workshop sessions.
Stay tuned in the following days and weeks to come for more details on this year’s conference.
See you soon,
