Pamlico Writers luncheon with writer Lynn Cavanaugh-blades

Great news,

Pamlico Writers Spring luncheon speakers are set. On February 16, 2016,  11:45 A.M., at Golden Corral Restaurant, 1424 Carolina Ave, Washington, NC, we will present February’s luncheon speaker, writer Lynn Cavanaugh-blades, author of  “Your Hand in Mine, We Will Go.” Llynn Cavannah-blades 1Lynn is a former high school teacher with 24 years of experience. When her career ending abruptly in 2011, she went to a local bookstore, opened a random book on a clearance table, and read the words, “Write your book already,” so that is just what she did!

Lynn comes all the way from Wilmington with an encouraging message about her journey while writing her first novel. She will share helpful tips she discovered, within the context of personal experiences and short readings from the book. She enjoys speaking, encouraging and motivating others to pursue and follow their dreams. Lynn Cavannah-blades

“Your Hand in Mine, We Will Go” is available on Amazon.com in paper back and kindle versions. It is a nostalgic, heart-warming story about a seven year old growing up in North Carolina in 1964, who learns some very important life lessons from an unlikely older friend of her grandparents while vacationing at Pamlico Beach during the summer.

One reviewer wrote the following of the novel, “An endearing account of a little girl’s journey, ultimately facing her fears and doubts. This book will bring your heart hope and love as you walk with her, hand in hand.”

This luncheon is open to the public.

Attendees should go through the normal buffet line and assemble in the private meeting room. Please leave a tip for your server so that we may reduce our facility costs.
